Volunteering on the Rise in CT

A new report has found that the number of people volunteering in their communities in the U.S. has increased. In Connecticut, the report found that 33% of state residents volunteered an average of 34.7 hours in 2009. The state ranks 17th in the percent of volunteers and 21st in the number of hours served.
